Learning Maneuvers
Running through drills and skirmishes will help your child understand how the opposing teams play and how to interact with your team to win. We focus on the following learning points:
- Moving and Setting Up Proper Spacing to Create Scoring Opportunities
- Passing Skills and Reducing Turnovers
- Shooting the Ball Effectively Against Any Defender
- Learning How to Play the Game, Not Just Run a Play
Our coaches come to your home court to provide 1-on-1/small group, socially distanced training. The low coach-to-player ratio allows us to give players individual focus to hone their current skills and add more dimensions to their game. In this setting, players will be doing a one-hour training session at a high intensity.
The Training Session Will Include:
- Basketball-Specific Drills:
- Ball Handling
- Shooting
- Footwork
- Passing
- Layups
- Etc.
- General Strength Exercises
- Fitness Exercises
Our driveway skill development training is designed for players 10 years old and up (exceptions may be made for younger players who are intermediate to advanced level). The program will give the personal trainer interaction and attention necessary to effect change in different elements of each player’s game. email admin@oakvillebasketball.com to set up dates
